Chi-Ping is a
Senior UX Expert

at Biotech & Health Care Chapters

Hello! I’m Chi-Ping! 👋

In the healthcare and biopharmaceutical sectors, complexity is never just technical. It lives in the decisions people make, the systems they trust, and the workflows they rely on every day. My work brings shape to that complexity, creating digital experiences that make regulated, high-stakes environments clearer, safer, and more human.

Currently working at Sartorius as a UX Lead within digital solution department. In this role, I help shape product strategy, enable cross-functional teams within the SAFe framework, and translate complex bioprocessing workflows into scalable, human-centered solutions. My work also extends to design systems, UX governance, and user research practices that support consistency across digital products.

Previously, with Commonwealth Care Alliance (via Cognizant) focused on provider and member experience, intranet, and future customer outreach. A notable achievement was having our intranet design recognized as one of the 10 Best Intranets of 2021 by NN/g.

I studied at Arizona State University where I gained expertise in how people and machines connect and interact, and completed a Master's Degree in Human System Engineering in 2019. During my studies, I was honored with the Best Student Paper Award by HFES 2019.

When I am not working, you will find me mentoring young professionals. I am always up for great conversation and a good cup of coffee; if you’re interested in hearing more about my experience, let’s talk!

Words From Work

“…He furthered UX across the organization by collaborating with corporate branding to create a uniform design toolbox now used by other UX and UI designers.

Chi-Ping also played a lead role within UX, often supporting junior members and providing direction to UX/UI contractors. A natural leader, he consistently articulated ideas with clarity, respect, and a well-informed foundation, even when offering dissenting viewpoints. This fostered constructive dialogue and elevated decision-making processes.”

Joshua Richardson, Program Manager, Digital Innovation

“I was particularly impressed by Chi-Ping’s impeccable ability to apply design-thinking to his each and every endeavor—he never fails to think about who he is designing for. He handles every project with keen attention to detail and a top-notch understanding of user research methodologies and data-driven design”

Calvin Nutter, UX Designer

“…Chi-Ping is the EXACT TYPE OF PERSON YOU WANT IN YOUR CORNER. There is an old saying which asks who one would want by their side when stuck in a foxhole. For those who are unfamiliar with the saying, it means: when confronted with a tough situation having little chance of success, who would you want on your team by your side? In those circumstances you need strong team members to be able to persevere and succeed. That’s exactly the type of person Chi-Ping is.…”
